Trim will not work

I have a 1994 Mercruiser inboard motor. I just attempted to crank it to allow it to run. When I tried to trim the foot down, it would not move. I can hear the motor running, but it doesn't move. I cranked it about a month ago and everything worked fine. Any suggestions?

Check your fluid first, and if it's clean get someone to push down on the drive as the button is pressed.

If that does work, crack open the hydraulic lines to see if it will go down. If cracking the lines works it's probably in the pump, if it doesn't then it's the cylinders
