2001 campion center console. On port side of transom. It's connected to wires and lights up when put in on position. Next post will have a picture

Manual bilge pump switch. It would not be a remote tilt switch if it is simply an on off type. Spring loaded on, center off, on style then maybe but by 2001 most outboards had a switch on the engine.

Mounted on the port side of transom? I highly doubt that
More likely a light switch for cockpit lighting

It's hard to speculate without a picture. Heck its hard sometimes WITH a pic. switches come a few different ways.

Pole: Single or Double
Throw: Single or Double
Action: ON/OFF; Momentary ON/OFF; OFF/ Momentary ON/ ON; Off/ON/ON

Momentary ON would be for horns, Trim Pumps. ON/OFF would be for wipers, bilge pumps, lights, etc. OFf/ON/ON would be used for a combination Anchor and Running Lights.

I don't recall seeing many Battery switches which are lit. Things like pressure pumps are often lit because once the system is up to pressure the internal pressure switch turns the pump off. A Livewell pump or a deck wash down might use a lit double-throw On/Off switch for example.
