I have a 1988 Bayliner Trophy
It has a 94 gallon tank. Tank info: Aluminum Fabricated Products Inc. AFP, mod# 49-94-AF, S/N 6-94880426T

The sender is I believe 8341-70-C88, can I get a replacement sender like this that will match the screw holes, and float arm length?
Is AFP still in business?

Is my tank 94 gallons right to the fill tube? How are these tanks fuel capacity determined?

Google is your friend . . .

It looks like they are still around.

94 gallons is most likely a calculated capacity, based on the dimensions of the tank. Do not fill the tank all the way, as it will probably burp fuel out due to vapor expansion within the tank.

Most senders will match the 5 bolt pattern. AFP did not make the sender, but may have info as to where they get them. The number sort of matched a "Rochester Gauge" sender. Looks like the 8341 series is no longer . . .

The more available senders are going to be Moeller brand and they are fairly adjustable to the swing arm length, etc.

Forget trying to match the sender... You can get a sender with only one measurement... The total height of the tank minus 1".
The new style senders that are just a sealed tube with a magnetic float are much better than the old float n arm style...

The one I just put in my 100 gal tank has 24 segments so it moves the gauge aprox every 4 gallons.
