stucked bolts on intake grate

hello,

can anybody help for following:

i own a sea rayder 14' and have to open the intake grate but bolts are very rusty so have to cut them off...

i hope if i do do that i can replace them after. As i have no idea how they are fixed to the hull under the grate.
would appreciate any info

Should be threaded into the jet pump.... Sounds like it could be a real nightmare. They should have been stainless bolts... If someone has put in plain steel bolts you could have pretty heavy damage to the aluminum part they thread into..... Good luck

How about trying heat, penetrating oil and a pipe wrench. Heat em up, apply the oil and let her cool. Repeat a couple of times, Now heat her up and gently work the bolts loose with the pipe wrench. if the intake grate is plastic, you will need to trade off the pros of getting the bolts out, with the cons of melting the grating.

I've fought those exact same bolts before on a previous jet boat. Get a impact screw driver, the type you whack with hammer. One of those will break the bolts free, usually...
