What do you guys use for lighting at night while netting fish? We have been using a handheld spot light and a flashlight on the net handle, but I am considering adding some underwater lights to the transom. Does anyone have experience doing this? How well has it worked? Virtually all of the night fish will be landed at the back of the boat. Thanks

We used to float sealed beam car headlights on the water where we fished for Crappie or White Bass. The lights would attract the bait fish and the rest is obvious. I know they don't use them any more but a junk yard may have enough to suit you. They will run roughly 50-60 watts so that's about 5 amps each from your battery. Watch your batteries capacity in watt hours....volts x amps x time.

Many of the led underwater lights can be obtained in various wave lengths for attracting fish, enhancing lure color, and for netting your catch.
