Just bought a Yamaha T9.9elrs. Was running fine for long periods of time when I bought it. Recently brought it home (on side with Carb up) and installed it on my boat. It previously was hooked up to an inboard gas tank, I fitted it to a portable gas tank (New). Seems to start ok after a few tries, idles, but as soon as it goes to high rpms it stalls out. Seems to be a bit of air coming out the coupler that connects to the engine...could that cause my problem? Or other ideas I can try?

I have a feeling its gas related, somehow the engine is not getting enough gas. Thanks for your help in advance!

Air should not be coming out of a gas line as the fuel pump should be sucking on the fuel line to motor

Update: Replaced coupler that connects to engine, replaced primer bulb, and fuel filter. Still same problem. Oil is right level. Wondering about fuel pump issue possibly or carbeurator??

No Title

Here are some photos. I noticed the housing is cracked...what do you think?? The part is $115 at dealer...seems pricey

If it is broke then replace it.
You do know what boat stands for right?
