Bad battery connection led to pull-starting to get home(10 minutes at idle). Did not realize battery switch was off until reaching dock and first buzzer indication. Batteries are new, disassembled and cleaned battery switch and all cables, replaced water pump, checked and cleaned themostats(no corrosion), both oil reservoures full, engine tank sensor appears to operate normally as I removed partially from tank, buzzer works properly when attempting to start with kill switch activated. Motor has approx 500 hours, barely spec of corrosion anywhere.

do you have a question?

Did you make sure the gasket got put back in proper place when putting level switch back in

Little rubber keeper below screen? Not sure can you elaborate proper location?

My question is, what do I check next? Could I have damaged the voltage regulator and this be actuating the buzzer? Several people have asked a similar question with no answer.

Could someone please advise me the next step in diagnosing the buzzer problem?

lets see if we can figure out what you are having happen.

You have an alarm going off, but when?
at key on or after running for some time?

Do you have gauges that would show what the alarm was when it comes in?
If so what is it showing?

Have you checked voltage if you are concerned it is low voltage?
or for water in fuel water separator if you have a switch in it for that?

Motor starts; rpms greater than idle equals buzzer. No sensor on water seperator; will change anyway. Guages show three arrows on right of tach, no arrow over thermometer. When engine did rev above 2000 rpm guages showed charging. Thanks.

So does the buzzer sound as soon at it is above idle or after some time?
If you idle back down does it stay on?
Does it make a difference if in gear or neutral?

Maybe test the alarm system to make sure the oil and overheat will show up on gauges.
Then if nothing is showing up when buzzer comes in it will not be one of those.

Water in fuel cup on some motors sounds if switch goes bad or water level is in cup, but it does not sound while in gear.
Only other thing I have read about was low voltage setting alarm on some motors

Thank you for your responses; I've done all I can do. In the shop, I'll let you know the outcome if you like.
