New battery. Boat and engine had been stored for 4 years and winterized. Cleaned up both and new battery. No spark initially. New fuel, checked plugs ok. Hooked up water to lower unit. Cranked and cranked and then it suddenly started. Idled fine...high idle fine. Got excited that it would run. Finished cleaning up boat and motor and ready for lake. Hooked up water one more time. Cranked 3 or 4 separate times for 3 to 5 seconds. On 5 th try it started. Idled fine....high idle fine. Took it to the lake, backed it in, pumped up the bulb, cranked and it started right up. Ran for 10 seconds, then died. Cranked and cranked...nothing. Took to local mechanic(non Suzuki guy) hooked it to spark testor...no spark on any cylinder. This has got to be something simple. He tested neutral switch and thought was fine. Help!!!

Did you ever resolve this? I have a 1997 Dt150 that is giving the code for crsnkshaft sensor position. The motor will turn over but has no spark to the plugs. Is there an easy way to test?

Why did you hijack another thread that's 10 years old? Moved the post to this No Spark thread of yours where it belongs.

Usually a code tells you the problem. After sitting for 4 years, there is a good chance some of the connectors have loosened or got some corrosion. Try re-seating the CPS connector(s).
