05 Yamaha 75HP Outboard Alarm

Hi, I have a 2005 75HP Yamaha outboard motor on a pontoon. Last Fall when I wen to take the boat out of the water it had an alarm sounding and the boat had very little power. Now we're taking the boat out of storage and when we start the boat the alarm immediately goes off. It seems to start fine... There doesn't seem to be water coming out of the little hole so I am going to try replacing the impeller from advice from a friend. Just looking for any other thoubleshooting ideas if this doesn't work. Thanks.

The impeller is a great place to start.

Servicing the water pump, thermostat, and oil system is a normal thing to do even without an alarm going off.

Have you looked at your gauges to see what they tell you when alarm is sounding?
