Hi, i'm owner of 1992 yamaha 115 v4 and i have problem with power of my engine.
When i have empty boat (only 1 person) it accelerates very well but when i have 4 people on board it accelerates good to 2000rpm and gets big trouble to accelerate more, it has no power to go up from water and accelerate. On neutral gear it accelerates very good and have no problems to reach 4500rpm, but with people it goes worse than my old boat with 25hp engine. sorry for my english

I've got a 1985 model 115 hp. I'd start by changing spark plugs, fuel filter (under the carbs) and the rubber fuel pump membrane. All are easy replacements. Then see where you are. When they don't have enough power, it's often a fuel related problem. You might also checkout the fuel line to make sure 90/10 gasoline's not deteriorated it. And while you're at it, check the siphon going to the bottom of your fuel tank. Sometimes they've got a filter on the bottom that can get stopped up. And get rid of the old gasoline and replace it with 100% non alcohol fuel.

These are just obvious maintenance items.
