Suzuki 2001 DF90 ignition switch

The front panel which holds my ignition switch has printed on it "push to choke" this motor is injected and there should be no choke on it. The problem I have is that when the motor is under way, and I lightly touch the top of the key, the motor will shut down. The switch has "A0807" stamped on the back. Do I have a bad swith, do I have the correct switch for this engine? Thank you

The push to choke feature is not required and likely is not related to the problem. The problem however is that the switch has become touchy in the run position which is the reason for the shut down. Check the connections on the back of the switch but I suspect the switch is on it's way out.
