My alarm will sound intermittently on it's on at different temps like other post i have read motor is peeing, motor is not hot to the touch will stop when i pull the throttle back then it may go for five minutes
or five hours. I have done all of the recommended things, but still have an alarm. I knew the impeller had not been changed in two seasons, so i put a pump kit (ware plate, ware cup, o-ring, tube grommet and i replaced the two thermostats along with the PVR valve. the oil pump on the remote reservoir seems to be working i marked the level ran it three hrs. yesterday and it dropped like normal. So is it possible a oil/heat sensor is going of to soon, are is it typically the sensors just stop working when they fail. And is there a practical way to test both? Thanks for any feed back...

Ya, start by unplugging the sensors 1 at a time and test. It's either oil or overheat

With that age motor the cooling passages could be restricted with corrosive related crap
