I've got a Suzuki DT75 that for some reason simply stopped working. It won't start, and the electric trim/tilt won't operate either. It's got a new, fully charged marine battery and this has never happened to it before. I hadn't used it for a few months, and when I went to start it the battery power was to low to successfully start it. After taking the battery out, charging it and putting it back in it simply doesn't respond any more. Occasionally I hear a slight click when trying to lower the engine (it's got tilt/trim controls on both the remote and the engine itself), but that's it. I don't think the key ever had to be in it to operate the trim/tilt - so long as it had a battery it would work. But not now. Any ideas?

Any help would be fantastic. I actually want to sell it, but won't get jack for it if the outboard doesn't work ;-)

Welcome aboard.

Clean all electrical connections, shiny bright. And examine the connection wires for corrosion.

cables and connections can go bad internally also, something you cannot see.
Best to use a voltmeter to check .
voltage load drop test is the best way to find where the problem is located
