Re-powering question

I have been considering re-powering my pontoon boat from a 1997 50hp Yamaha to a newer model 115hp Yamaha (probably used) and would like to handle the mounting myself. My question is: as long as the shaft length is the same as the existing, how hard is mounting the motor as far as positioning, etc? Will the "new motor mount in the same holes as the 50, or will new holes need to be drilled. I'm confident in my ability to hook up everything mechanically, the only thing that gives me pause is getting the engine on in the right place.

I am sure someone will chime in about mounting - but is the toon rated to handle that motor

I have read they standardized the bolt patterns so people would not have to drill and cover holes when swapping motors
