Hi all, I have an '89 DT200 Suzuki that still runs great. The tilt trim still works, but, the seals on the tilt and trim rams are shot and leaking oil past them and out all over the place quite badly. Has anyone had one of these apart to do a seal replacement? Looking at all the info I have it looks like the trim rams have the seals built into the caps ($53 ea) and the tilt internals (piston & piston rod sub assy) complete need to be replaced for the sake of the seal ($330)

Seems like a helluva chunk of cash to replace a few small seals. I manifold.jpg sub assy.jpg

The ram does come apart if you apply enough effort, I was resigned to buying a new one so wasn't too worried about damaging it. The bottom piston unscrews completely.
