Hi,
I have a Yamaha 28A and it runs really fine. I do however have a problem with the mount rubber of the cowling bottom. They are completely worn, so the cowling is shaking then the motor runs.
I have found the part list and I think I figured out how to replace the mount rubbers. I took the four bolts out at the bottom to lift the engine, so I can reach the mount rubbers. Of course I detached all controls for the gearshift and gas, so the engine can be lifted off the upper casing.
But the engine seems to be firmly stuck onto the upper casing. It feels like it is still fixed somehow.
Can anybody help me with this? What is te proper procedure to get it loose?
I found a topic with the title "Yamaha 28hp Engine Movement on Shaft", maybe Yam28hp can tell me if and how he managed to replace the mount rubbers on his engine?
Thanks! Berent
