The garden hose connector for fresh water flush is designed to be used when the motor is not running for simplicity of flush. Can the motor be run when this is connected, or will it destroy the water pump impeller? I'd like to do my end of season maintenance (run carb and fuel line dry, fog engine), and the motor is off of the boat. Do I need a tank, or can I just use the garden hose? Not sure of the water path with the flush connector....
