1983 suzuki dt40 no spark and blowing fuse

Hey everyone, very new to this site. Hope to get some help. Picked up a 1983 suzuki dt 40, trying to troubleshoot why its not getting spark. Was turning over, but now blowing fuses. I got the engine with controls, and when I opened them up to look at the ignition I noticed that there is some wires butted, and splced together. there is no kill switch so maybe have something to dowith that. I hope to have the repair manual in the next couple of weeks but if anyone can help out for now I would greatly appritiate it. Thanks

Ok also found that the spliced wire coming out of the ignition is hot. If someone could help with an ignition wiring diagram that would help allot
