I have a black prop on my C60TLRY and the paint is really wearing off. This may be a really stupid question, but if I take all the paint off can the prop be highly polished ie., is it stainless steel?

I had a Yamaha 115 with a stainless steel prop with some kind of black Teflon-like anti-fouling coating on it.....it started to wear off, so I removed the remainder of it and polished the prop....if you want a mirror finish on your prop it'll be a lot of work/ polishing with a variety of compounds. Best to remove the prop so you can put it against a buffing wheel...good luck!

Exactly right. A very durable prop.
