Hi all. I let my newly acquired motor vaje in the Florida sun for a month with gas in carb so she wouldn't start. A quick clean and she started first pull. This is the first time I pulled the carb. I noticed the float bowl DOES NOT lie parallel to the bowl. Is this a problem? This is the newest motor I've had by 20 years. I always adjusted those. Do these new motors require the same? Thank you

Sorry. This is why one should preview before posting. Does the float in my carb need to be parallel with the carb body when upside down? When I held mine upside down the end farthest from float arm really dips down. How does this affect engine performance?

sounds like it would let more fuel into the bowl before shutting off the flow.
This could flood motor by overflowing, if it is not set that way from factory on purpose.
Service manual should have specs needed

If the motor runs fine then it's obvious the float is set OK....It was OK from the factory and if nobody has screwed with it then it should be fine.....
