Hi, I have a 2003 SX150 that after running for some time, the oil tank overflows into the air silencer and begins to smoke. The oil sender in the upper and lower tank has been changed, and we've tried another CDI unit. The blue/white wire going to the sender has continuity. It usually takes about 1-1/2 to 2 hrs to begin to smoke. Where should we go from here? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

instead of throwing parts at it you need to test the system to see what is causing the pump not to shut off properly.

Could it be that the float in motor tank is sticking sometimes and not shutting off to oil pump in remote tank?
Seems if the pump stays on it should overflow withing minutes

That's what we thought would happen but the problem occurs anywhere between a half hour and 2 hrs of running. The boat is no longer using excessive oil, but its hard to get the boat to smoke the way it did. Now it only smokes on startup after running for a while.

Let's go back to square one. Is the engine mounted oil tank over flowing or not?
