Yamaha 50 2 stroke tachometer

[Just me again]

My son in law has a Yamaha 50 2 stroke, about year 2000. His tach has failed, and would like to know where the sensor is on the engine. Can someone point me to a schematic drawing? He had the top end replaced a month ago, hopefully it is a loose wire.

Schematics are in the applicable service manual. The tachometer reference wire is usually green. Could come from the CDI or could come from a coil under the flywheel.

To clarify, the engine is a 2002 50TLRA. Since the top end was replaced last month, I'll bet there is a problem under the flywheel.
