Red fussed wire by starter solenoid

I recently purchased a 1989 ProV 150 and while I was rigging it I noticed red fussed wire that had been cut, I cant seem to figure out where it goes or what it's for. It looks like it's supposed to connect to the starter solenoid.

This is the last thing I need to hook up before we take it out and run it. Looking through the manual it looks like it's supposed to be part of the +battery cable, but I'm not quite sure.

It is shown in the wiring diagram (section 8) of the manual.
