Hi all, looking for some advice on an old 55AE 2stroke that I have been trying to get running. I have just replaced the bottom crankshaft bearing and oil seals - all went well and engine is now back together but I have now discovered that when I turn the flywheel slowly with spark plugs removed, every time the bottom piston reaches TDC it stops abruptly, as if bringing up in something, then it pushes past this point and releases again. The top cylinder is perfectly smooth throughout. All seemed fine when I put it together. Anyone got any idea what it could be? Will I have to strip down engine again to find out?
