Gas out of top of carb Yamaha 8hp

I have a 2002 Yamaha 8hp 4 stroke that I rebuilt the carburetor on a couple months ago, I have put a few hours on the motor since. The other day while running it just died, we got towed in. I drained the bowl and it fired up and seamed ok in the slip, there was a lot of air in the fuel(tiny bubbles) The next day, no go so I drained the bowl again but this time when I squeezed the bulb to prime it I noticed fuel squirting out the top of the carb on the motor side. Any ideas ?

Carb float needle or needle seat is bad or out of adjustment?.....

I took it apart, didn't see anything wrong or dirty but the fuel stopped coming out of the top of the carb. It still will not start, the light by the choke flashes a little when I pull the rope?

If the light is flashing as you pull its the low oil warning device and may not let you start it...Sherm
