Hi I just recently became a member here. I am having an issue with my '99 Yamaha 130hp. The alarm buzzes once the boat goes over around 3500 rpms. We have replaced the water pump thermostats and did continuity checks on the thermo sensors. Can run boat all day long under 2500 rpms without any issues. Please help!!! Thanks in advance!!

So I would be getting an alarm if something is wrong with the fuel system?

I would think either it is overtemp due to not getting enough cooling possibly clogging water passages or some other water problem,
did you test what temp the over temps change state?

or oil level is dropping low enough in tank on motor to alarm due to oil filter leaving remote tank plugging
or pinched line restricting the oil flow. Simple to monitor when cowling if removed

burning more fuel at higher RPM causes more heat and uses more oil

If these 2 are not the problem then some motors had a water in fuel alarm and some had low voltage alarm
But I do not see where they would be tied to RPM
