iso 87 yamaha 90hp lower unit case

Lower unit cracked from storage. Trying to see if weldable. My welder says cast aluminum is tough. Seeing if anyone has a case. 20 inch shaft. Thanks

It would all depend on location and size of crack, but aluminum cases can definitely be welded.....a photo would help a lot...

Thanks Robert. I'll get a pic tonight. Seems to me in the upper front of the lower unit shouldn't be a bad spot to weld.
