Trust into an yamaha 75ceto 2002 Oil Injection System

My old 96' suzuki dt40 was equiped with an oil sensor on main oil line. My actual engine yamaha 2002' 75ceto don't seems to have one. I worried about the case of an oil pump failure. The engine would know or will be destroyed?

it is a gear driven pump, what do you expect to fail on it?

Keep the oil clean and drain/clean and test like Yamaha recommends
