Hey guys too make a long story short, I broke off a piece of linkage on the original carbs on my 98' yamaha 50hp 2-stroke, so I sold them online for parts & used that $ to buy a used set to rebuild, the guy said they were off an 05' 50hp 2 stroke. They look identical to the ones I had. Here is what they say on the side Keihin BCP 62X10 S128. I cannot find any info on these carbs to confirm whatmotor they came off. can anyone help me out here? much appreciated!!!

if you look up the part #s for the 98 you will find they are listed for 1995 to 2003
the 2005 show up for 2004 on up

The part numbers will not match the casting numbers on the carbs. Yamaha doesn't put part numbers on the parts, only the packaging.

The only part from Yamaha that I have ever seen with a part number on it is a wire

The number you see on the carb is more than likely the Keihin number.

What would make you think that carbs from a 2005 50 are the correct ones for a 1998 50 HP. The 1998's are all -00-00. The 2005's are all -10-00.
