Yamaha digital gauge wiring

I have a 2001 Yamaha 115 outboard a new Yamaha key switch , new Yamaha digital tach for 2004 and older outboards, new Yamaha digital speed gauge for 2004 and older outboards, new Yamaha main engine wiring harness, 2001 Yamaha 4 pin oil tank harness. What wiring harness's am I missing?

Well there isn't any harnesses to plug the gauges into.

You will need the small harness that runs from the key switch to the gauges. Maybe that is what is missing. See diagram below.

Old number. New number is 6Y5-83553-N0-OO. I was thinking you had a side mount binacle which needs no additional harness.

Also you need the trim and oil harness and the number depends on the length. 6Y5-83653-00-00 which is 16.4 feet. Use 10 instead of the first set of 00 for 19.7 foot harness.

Mines a 2001. Those numbers pull up harnesses for 2004 and later.

Old number. New number is 6Y5-83553-N0-OO. I was thinking you had a side mount binacle which needs no additional harness.

I ordered the harness listed in the diagram. Didn't see your post till after I ordered the harness. I looked up the new harness # and nothing came up.

If you looked it up by 6Y5-83553-N0-OO it won't come up. The part number is 6Y5-83553-N0-00. The last two are numbers, not letters.

Won't matter anyway. The N0-00 is just a variant of the 10-00. Both will work. One has one fuse and the other has two fuses.

And as Ken noted, you will need the trim/oil harness that runs from the motor to the gauges. Otherwise, you won't have trim information and the warning icons won't work.

I'm showing 688-8258A-20-00 for a 4.9m 688-8258A-30-00 for a 3m

That comes up as the same cable as my main engine wiring harness. 10 pin.

Ok I have the right harness installed now. My trim readout just flashes the top bar, and my light doesn't come on.
