I'm new to this site and I recently bought my first boat. A 16' Monark with a 1985 Yamaha 115 V4. It has no power under load. If I pull the plug wires I find that sometimes I'm only running on 1 cylinder, sometimes 2 or 3 rarely all 4. This was verified with a timing light (no spark intermittently). I've checked the Pulser Coil, resistance is good but I'm not sure how to check for voltage. I disconnect the 4 wires coming from the pulser coil to the CDI and measured voltage across them (wr/wy, wg/wb) while cranking the motor. All I can get is 1.4v and 1.6 v max (book calls for 2.5v but I'm not sure if this cranking or idle and if idle how to measure correctly.
