1981 suzuki DT115 no spark

I am trying to get this motor running for a friend. model and serial #11501-101421. this motor hasn't run for about 7 years. when he parked it it was running fine, just having trouble shifting into reverse. it turns over fine, compression is good at 120-119-119-119. I checked the neutral safety switch, it is good. I have tested with a spark tester, there is no spark. any help would be appreciated.

Problem solved. The rubber boot on the emergency switch wasn't on tight enough keeping the switch from operating properly.

glad to hear it was some thing simple as far as the spark.

Bad things (rust)can happen to the bearings, crank, piston rings,cylinder walls, etc. from a motor sitting up for long times if not prepped for the lay up and protected from the elements. Good luck with this motor
