Hey guys, I'm struggling with an electrical problem with my twin yamaha 250 vx motors. Carbed 2strokes.

The boat was running fine. The next morning I turn the Left keyswitch to on, and this happens:

No buzzer, no power to the tach, motor doesn't crank, AND the RIGHT motor trims up!

Yes, the opposite motor trims up.

Right motor runs fine, no issues. I know it's probably an electrical short somewhere, but I have already replaced the keyswitch and I have also tried a new 704 binnacle thinking that the short might have been in the key panel or controls. I have also connected the left motor through all of the right motors wiring, tach, key, controls, etc and nothing. That leads me to believe it is on the motor side of the wiring. Would I be correct in assuming that? I don't know where else to look where the wiring from both motors come together..

By the way, the left motor freely turns and cranks strongly when I jump the starter relay, so it's getting plenty of 12v.

Does anyone have any idea where to look for the short??

Thanks for your input, this is frustrating!
