I took the power head off this about a year ago to rebuild it and everything else was working ok.
I have now put the power head back on and I can not get the trim tilt to work.
I have taken the main motor cables off the Relays ( 2 of them, Relays that is) 1 blue and 1 green and then theres a black ground wire.These I have traced from the trim tilt motor .
I have tried connecting them straight to the battery but it does nothing.This is how I done it>
Blue to battery +
Black to outboard, ground
Battery - to outboard ground
would this have made the motor work regardless of any wires that I may have not wired up right in the engine bay ?
