i have a 86 90hp yamaha outboard motor that after a while of running would loose power it seems at full throttle and run at a trolling speed i could throttle back and it would run for about 20 to 30 seconds and full power. so i took it to a boat shop they said the cdi mod was bad they replaced it and i took it out ran great for about an hour then did the same thing.so i took it back in and they said the cdi mod blew 2 coils so i had all three replaced. took it out again ran great for a day, the next day took it out and hit some rough water as soon as that happened it boged down again. any ideas what this might be im tired of taking it in and putting money into a problem that is not fixed. also when it does this it will surge like it is trying to pick back up but it wont. thanks for any ideas.
