I am looking into purchasing a 1989 yamadog 85 hp outboard and am wondering if anyone out there has any info as far as reliability and fuel consumption?I currently have a 1995 evinrude 88spl and it is just draining my wallet on gas consumption.i have a 1996 landau pro 17 which is basically a aluminum bass boat if this helps on determining anything?also does anyone know what the weight is on the 85 hp yamaha,and what good numbers are for compression check?
