Suzuki DT25 lower unit compatibility?

What year lower units are compatible on suzuki DT25 motors. I have a 1984 motor runs great and see a couple 1992 and 1997 lower units on craigslist for cheap i was going to pick them up for backup

OK well since no one knows i asked the guys at the parts store and they told me there was one change and that occured in 1988 so under 88 the same and over 88 the same.

Still not 100% sure because that is just what it said on paper.
