Yamaha Power Trim Leak - 150HP 1989

I hope someone can help with a very frustrating problem... I have a 1989 150HP Yamaha and noticed hydrolic fluid leaking from the lowest portion of the Power Trim and is leaking from what is called 'Pipe 2' in the service manual (part number 6G5-43833-00-00). The leak is coming from the end that goes into the center piston. I've taken it off and inspected it and there isn't any noticiable damage. I've also taken it on and off several times thinking it wasn't sitting in the proper postion, but each attempt failed.

My next step is to replace the part, but I'm not certain this will resolve it.

This is a picture of the part that is leaking. Any help on how to fix the leak would be greatly appreciated.
