Yamaha 150 hp 4 stroke

When engaging my motor in gear it always grinds! I know there has to be an adjustment rod of some sort ! Where is the adjustment access location and which way to adjust ? Thx for any help

It is normal but you are not shifting correctly. The idea is to NOT to slide the thing into gear. Shift it with authority. Every time you slide it into gear that ratcheting noise is adding wear to the clutch dogs. Pop it into gear and you will not hear the chatter.

Thx ! I tried it and ya It is much better engaging it in gear ! I will use that method from now on ! Thx Dan
