I know thats what I was thinkin, it just sounds really high pitched, like a speed bike. cause when i turn the throttle handle and im not even fully through throttle positions and it sounds ridiculously loud and revvs high, and starts to pop a bit. not really sure what it is
yeah it sounds fine in idle, but when i put it in forward and give it throttle, it gets really loud with only like 1/8 throttle. im afraid if I keep going up its gonna blow. the rpms seem super high
You shouldn't really put it in gear and rev it on the muffs. The motor needs an appropriate amount of back pressure to run properly. I would try running it on the open water before you make any adjustments to it.
do you understand we mean you need to have it on a boat
and in the water even if still strapped to the trailer
so that there is load on the motor when you put it in gear and raise the RPMs?
pilot/idle screws should be set at factory settings, if everything is cleaned properly it should run fine.
Also should have the link and sync settings done as manual states
