Need help I have a 2004 DF200hp. 4 stroke Suzuki outboard that want start in neutral. I can start in cold start by releasing the accelerator button and putting in forward or by putting it in reverse. When I bring it back to neutral the motor quits. I have checked the fuel line and water separator. Someone said it might be the jets are clogged in the carburetor. Trying to fix without going to a mechanic. ANY suggestions will be appreciated. thanks!

If you think that engine has a carburetor, then I highly suggest you bring it to a qualified Suzuki technician.

pick up a service manual for your motor and the proper test equipment if you are going to work on it yourself.

These new motors are not like the old motors, too much electronic stuff and computers involved now a days

Maybe best to have a dealer at least check it out
