Help Identify Year of 50 HP Yamaha!

Just picked up a 50 HP Yamaha and trying to to determine the year of the motor. This is what is stamped on the ID Bracket of the motor: YAMAHA 50DETO 6HS L 411327 Made is JAPAN

I've done some digging around online and it looks like it might be a 1987. The motor is however very clean and appears to be newer. Any help would be great! Thanks.

The Model Year is indicated by a lower case letter in the black field in the lower left or right corner of the motorplate.Note that the letters have been reused throughout the years.​

Both N and O was used in the first year Yamaha outboards were imported into the states. That year was 1984. You would see N on one side of the transom bracket and O on the other.

Thanks, I am not seeing any lower case letters on the plates. At first I assumed the H on the first plate meant it was an 87' but it is not lower case. Am I looking in the right place? I attached to pictures of the plates.

ETLN means 1984
