1999 suzuki 4 stroke false heat alarm and rev limiter

after running engine for an hour and shutting down engine and restarting over heat light and buzzer come on and rev limiter if engine is not started for aprox 30m to 1 hour every thing is fine engine can run for hours with no problem only on restart is ther a problem thanks

Are you letting motor idle for a little while to cool off before shutting down?
Running hard and shutting off quickly is not a real good idea, but never ran across one that did this.
Maybe your water pump is not pumping as it should.
when was last time it was changed?

Maybe a good idea to post what motor you are dealing with
