Interested in two used (2005) boats + motors: A Nautic Star 210 at 21' and 2600lbs with a Suzuki 140HP four stroke or a Hurricane FD202 at 20'1" and 2450lbs with a Yamaha 150HP four stroke. I've got a family of 5 with an 18, 11, and 10 year old. Mom and Dad are average weight. Would like to be able to carry myself (170lbs) and 2 or 3 others in the boat and a skier or some people on a tube. I know the 140 and 150 aren't apples to apples in HP comparison, but will the 140 get the job done? How would a different prop help or hinder my needs? The NADA value for the Yamaha is about twice that of the Suzuki.
