hi guys,
am usually on the OMC repair side, but have been asked to fix the above for a friend.
He snapped the starter cord and asked me to fix it. Now i have only worked with electric starter motors an dhave no experience of pull starts really.
Anyway, i did the ridiculous and let the recoil spring get unraveled. Nows it proving a b***h to get back into place.

are there any tips or tricks to getting it back in place, please help as I'm at the end of my rope with this and it was my fault too..
