2002 Yamaha 115

The engine does not want to shut down with the key or the kill swith, had to pull the coil wires to shut her down,
anyone have an idea where to start looking, starter relay? not sure if it has one.

check to see if you lost ground connection at the control. Run a temporary wire from battery negative. Connect it to the kill switch while running. See if it shuts down....

You have lost the ground connection to the engine. Check the black and black/yellow bullet connectors behind the switch then check the small ground connections on the engine
