Suzuki DF40 tilt

My 19999 Suzuki DF40 with about 400 hours down trim was intermittent for sometime,now it is not working at all,when i operate the switch i can hear it click.The manual say check the trim position sender but i could not locate it [port side ,front,with the cowling off]The down trim switch check out good.
Appriciate all suggestions.

Had a problem with Suzuki dt-85 that would tilt up fine but sometimes would not go down. Tested according to manual and turns out that up switch was bad. Seems when tilting down the up switch serves as a ground. Anyway, replaced up switch and now trims down without fail.
