I have a Yamaha Outboard -93 30 DEO 6N3 S 002848 A, (what its say on the label). i cant remember when the problem start to emerge, but the problem is that when i move the accelerator handle forward 1/4, its become stiff and feels like you have to get over a bump, and that is what you have to do. When you get over the bump the RPM increases so much that you fall over in the boat if you not prepared. In port you have the choice to go incredible slow or to fast, the speed is not variable. i have circled the bump in question in this image. ( Video of the event is available if it helps )

I wonder if it's the same on other engines of the same model and if there is anything I can do about it ?

Your throttle has been taken apart/adjusted and put together incorrectly....roller should not be where it is to start with(in the pic)....suggest you get a book or find someone who knows how to link and sync the carbs/throttle. Then she'll be smooth as silk.
