1999 yamaha 50 hp 2 stroke>>>>help!

my motor was acting up on me and when looking at it i found the auto enrichment ground wire to be disconnected and the bolt is missing...ie worked its way loose......when the auto enrichment is not powered up does it stay in the on position?.....im running so rich that im getting black oil out of the exhaust under the cowl and by the prop>>>>>does this make sense?..............oh carbs are clean

Maybe just put the wire and the bolt back on there so the Prime Start will function correctly....you don't want to keep running it rich like that...

You are correct, the enrichment system will not turn off if it will not warm up do to wire being off.

I would worry about where the bolt went to also

Thanks for the help....I have the bolt it was laying down in the bottom so I put that back on.....and also when I pulled the carbs I found that the emergency enrichment diaphragm was cut which is why it's running crazy rich....ordered part and will be here wendsday so I'll update then.....I'm almost 100% sure that this will fix it......
