First off, hello everyone, new here, lurkin around, and now decided to post.

OK, so, I currently have a 1436 Tracker Topper, and it looks like the cavitation plate sits about 2" below the bottom of the boat. I have read that it should sit 1/2 to 3/4" inch above the bottom of the boat. What I'd like to do is get rid of my 1432, and get the 14' Grizzly with a 19" transom. The way I see it with my actual measurements on my current setup, I have a 15 5/8" transom exactly on my current boat, my length from the cavitation plate to the bottom of the mounting bracket is about 17" on the Suzuki. So, in actuality, if I go from a 15 5/8" transom, to a 19" transom, my cavitation plate will be just over 1" above the bottom of my boat. Does this sound like a reasonable setup?

Thanks, I'm a newbie :)
